FAIRYTALE
ANIMATION

This academic project was made in a college animation class and tasked me with making a short animation following the story of a fairytale. I chose the fairytale called “The Water Nixie”, where two children are tormented by a small nixie before escaping from her clutches. The biggest challenge of this project was adapting a rather niche story for a general audience, but I had a lot of fun implementing visual humor and sound effects throughout the animation. The animation was made in Adobe Animate while the backgrounds were hand drawn in Procreate. The characters themselves were separated into pieces within Illustrator.
