This academic project tasked me with illustrating a page spread for
a story. The story is The Town Mouse & the Country Mouse.
The illustration is directly based on a line from the story where the mice are about to enjoy a wonderful feast. One of the biggest challenges of this project was coming up with character designs for both the Town Mouse and Country Mouse, as they needed to be distinguishable from
each other. Playing around with the typography and layers also proved to be a fun challenge. The shadows beneath each food helps to add more depth and scale to the illustration.
